Nuestro enfoque combina la metodología comunicativa con AICLE (Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lengua Extranjera). El inglés no es solamente una materia: es una herramienta para explorar, investigar, crear, pensar y aprender en distintas áreas del conocimiento. Contamos con un plan propio bilingüe aprobado por el Ministerio de Educación de la Ciudad. Our bilingual programme combines Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) with Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Both approaches create meaningful opportunities for students to use English with a real purpose, making language learning an active, engaging and relevant experience.

Our Houses
Desde su ingreso a la primaria, cada alumno forma parte de uno de nuestros cuatro Houses. A lo largo del año, los Houses compiten en actividades deportivas, fortaleciendo el sentido de pertenencia, el compañerismo y el espíritu de equipo entre alumnos de distintos grados.
From the moment they join primary school, every student belongs to one of our four Houses. Throughout the year, the Houses compete in sports activities, strengthening a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and team spirit among students across all year groups.

El 1º de febrero de 1884 el colegio abre sus puertas con un cuerpo docente de universitarios graduados con honores. Desde sus inicios funciona como una escuela bilingüe y laica para niñas y niños. Watson Hutton impulsa una educación integral orientada al desarrollo moral, intelectual y físico.
On 1 February 1884, Buenos Aires English High School opened its doors with a teaching staff of university graduates with honours. From the very beginning, it operated as a bilingual, non-denominational school for boys and girls. Its founder, Alexander Watson Hutton, promoted a holistic approach to education, focusing on moral, intellectual and physical development.

Ante el crecimiento sostenido de matrícula, el colegio se mudó a Pencliffe House —también conocida como Quinta Lagadon—, en Universidad y Herrera, actual Avenida Montes de Oca 21, a unas tres cuadras de Plaza Constitución.
As student numbers continued to grow, the school moved to Pencliffe House — also known as Quinta Lagadon — on the corner of Universidad and Herrera, now Avenida Montes de Oca 21, three blocks from Plaza Constitución.

The first football league is born
Alexander Watson Hutton funda la Argentine Association Football League, la primera liga de fútbol organizada del país y el origen de la actual Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA). Su visión sienta las bases del desarrollo del fútbol argentino.

El English High School Athletic Club
The English High School Athletic Club
Watson Hutton concibe el deporte como una herramienta formativa y cultural. Se dictan clases regulares de gimnasia y se funda el English High School Athletic Club, integrado por profesores, alumnos y exalumnos del colegio.
Watson Hutton views sport as a formative and cultural tool. Regular gymnastics classes are introduced and the English High School Athletic Club is founded, bringing together teachers, students, and alumni.

Physical education becomes compulsory
La enseñanza de los ejercicios físicos se vuelve obligatoria en las Escuelas Normales e instituciones oficiales argentinas. Muchas de las ideas impulsadas por Watson Hutton décadas antes comienzan a generalizarse en el sistema educativo.

El colegio llega a Belgrano
The school arrives in Belgrano
El colegio se muda a su sede actual de Av. Melián 1880, en Belgrano. El edificio principal alojaba a más de 70 pupilos y a la familia del director, con canchas de lawn tennis, cricket, fútbol y una pileta de unos 30 × 10 metros. Sobre la calle Melián se levantó el School Pavilion, con capacidad para unos 500 alumnos, donde hoy se encuentra la calle Sucre.
The school moves to its current home at Melián 1880 in Belgrano. The main building housed over 70 boarders and the headmaster's family, with lawn tennis, cricket, and football courts and a pool measuring approximately 30 × 10 metres. The School Pavilion, with capacity for around 500 students, was built along Melián — where Calle Sucre stands today.
